This Week

The 2018-19 season is far from over as the snow machine continues to deliver through at least the middle of April. The week of April 8th will now start with a light refresh for Mammoth and Squaw Alpine on Monday night.

We'll then turn into the Intermountain West as a strong storm delivers healthy totals to numerous locations down the spine of the Rockies. The storm will ramp up on Tuesday night with heavy snow for Alta/Snowbird, Big Sky, and Snowbasin. If you're still in full chase mode, target Big Sky on Wednesday, followed by Alta/Snowbird for first chair Thursday morning.

The storm will then push further east and drop heavy snow on the Aspen Snowmass resorts on Wednesday night and into Thursday morning. Not a bad call to also enjoy the goods at Aspen Highlands on Thursday morning.

Extended Forecast

Upcoming Weekend & Next Week

Our focus will then shift to Taos for closing weekend of Saturday, April 13th and Sunday, April 14th. The storm is currently trending towards a southern track but keep an eye on our 1-10 day forecast for Taos as the forecast continues to evolve.

Looking further ahead, many destinations will begin to shut down their operations for the 2018-19 season so check each resort's website for their status. In regards to the snow forecast, there will not be a break as the snow machine continues to crank out spring powder through at least the middle of the month.

As always, stay tuned to the 1-10 day forecasts for all of the Mountain Collective destinations and our team of local forecasters for the latest updates.

Thanks for reading and look for my next update on Monday, April 15th.
